Engineering, supply and integration
We define the requirement, specify the equipment, supply it, and support it after start-up.
SIMSAN is an engineering company first. Engineering defines what a plant actually needs, and that definition is what makes the equipment we supply and the systems we integrate fit the process.
Capabilities
Instruments, controls, final elements and the equipment around them are specified as one system, not as four separate purchases.
Measurement of flow, level, pressure, temperature, analysis and other process parameters.
PLC, PAC, DCS and SCADA systems, control room hardware and signal handling.
Control valves, actuators, positioners, regulators and safety devices for the process line.
Original, brand new equipment sourced through a vetted manufacturer and supplier database.
Instrumentation and control is one continuous chain. A process variable is sensed, converted, transmitted, compared against a target, acted on by a valve, and recorded.
A sensor in contact with the process responds to pressure, temperature, flow, level or composition.
A transmitter converts that response into a 4 to 20 mA or HART signal for the control system.
A controller compares the measured value against the setpoint and calculates the correction the process needs.
The output drives a positioner and valve, a drive, or an on/off device that changes the process.
SCADA and recorders log the loop so operators can see, prove and improve plant performance.
Defining the real requirement before equipment is chosen, including the before sales engineering that turns an inquiry into a scope.
Sourcing original, brand new equipment through vetted manufacturers, with manufacturer documentation intact.
Bringing instruments, controllers and networks together so they work as one system.
Placing and connecting equipment on site so it matches the engineered design.
Loop checking, calibration, tuning and start-up, taking the system from powered up to running.
Manufacturer guarantee and warranty passed through unchanged, with training where a plant needs it.
The process industries SIMSAN works in, and the measurement and control problems each one brings.
High steam service, pipelines and refinery process units, where pressure, flow and safety devices work under demanding conditions.
Corrosive and erosive fluids, tight composition control, and instrumentation that has to survive the process it measures.
Steel above all, an area of long standing activity, with high temperature measurement and heavy plant control.
Thermal, gas and combined cycle plants, where boiler, burner and steam loops carry the plant's whole output.
Clean and renewable generation, an area SIMSAN follows out of a commitment to environmental protection.
One of the first areas of activity, with process measurement across milling, boiling, evaporation and utilities.
Technology
The measuring principles, protocols and control platforms SIMSAN specifies and supplies. Experience with a technology is not a distribution agreement.
The requirement is defined before anything is bought. That is what stops a supply project becoming an expensive collection of individually correct devices.
Original, brand-new equipment from a vetted database of manufacturers and suppliers, held as new stock. That is how fake product is kept out.
Manufacturer guarantee and warranty pass to the customer on the manufacturer's own terms, with installation, commissioning, start-up and training where the project needs them.
Send the requirement, however rough it is, and an engineer will work out what it actually specifies.
